The International Cardiovascular Research Partnership Awards (ICRPA) 2024 presents a groundbreaking opportunity for researchers in the field of cardiovascular health. This scholarship program, facilitated by the German Centre for Cardiovascular Research (DZHK), in collaboration with esteemed partners including the British Heart Foundation (BHF), the Dutch Heart Foundation (DHF), and the Lefoulon-Delalande Foundation, aims to foster collaborative research endeavors that address the global burden of cardiovascular disease.

The primary aim of the ICRPA 2024 is to facilitate international collaboration between mid-career researchers, empowering them to become leaders in the advancement of cardiovascular research. By bringing together investigators from France, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom, the program seeks to catalyze multidisciplinary approaches towards preclinical research.The Deutsches Zentrum für Herz-Kreislauf-Forschung (DZHK) is the largest center for cardiovascular research in Germany. It was established in 2012 on the initiative of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) with the goal of rapidly and efficiently transferring results from basic research into clinical practice.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: France, Germany, the Netherlands, United Kingdom
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: Any subject related to cardiovascular research
  • Admissible Criteria:
    • Projects must be co-led by at least three independent, mid-career Principal Investigators from the participating countries.
    • Focus on preclinical research contributing to the improvement of clinical diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

Offered Benefits

  • Projects can be funded for up to four years with a maximum budget of €2 million.
  • DZHK will provide a maximum of €500,000 for projects with DZHK participation and for a maximum of two projects.
