Postgraduate Research Scholarship in Australian Publishing for PhD Established in 1989, Western Sydney University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large town of Penrith (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), New South Wales. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Local students are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: PhD degree in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences subject offered by the University of Sydney
  • Admissible Criteria: Applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Hold an honours degree (first class), first class equivalent, or a master’s degree with a substantial research component
  • Have an unconditional offer of admission in a full-time PhD program at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences
  • Demonstrate willingness to undertake research into Australian independent publishers, focusing on digital media branding under the supervision of Associate Professor Anthea Taylor.

Offered Benefits

The selected candidate will receive an annual stipend allowance equivalent to the University of Sydney RTP rate ($40,109, indexed annually) for up to three years and six months, contingent upon satisfactory academic performance.
